How many times can you beat a dead horse? By Fred asking the american public to buy this book, he is asking us to pay OJ's judgment, that was levied on him. Also this book is no longer OJ's book when the Goldmans altered 2 chapters in the book, this book becomes their book not OJ's. Someone needs to tell Fred Goldman enough is enough,by his constant obsession w/OJ he comes off as a less symathetic victim. I know that all my friends are all saying when is this man going to get on w/life, we all can see that OJ certainly has. He needs to accept that he is not the only person in america that has lost a child to violence. This can't be good either for Fred's health. He can be doing so much good for others survivors of violence if he just lets go of his hatred for OJ.

More OJ Simpson: Q and A with the Goldmans

I hope that every person in the US goes out and buys this book. OJ received a sizeable advance for the book when it was first published. That money and his NFL pension (millions of $ a year) will never be touched to pay the judgement from the civil case because he has his team of clever lawyers and lives in Florida (a state that protects pensions from lawsuits). The Goldmans stand to collect a measly 17 cents per book sold. To show him he can't control everything. We all know what he did but this book now shows that he knows what he did. What is the difference between the Peterson case and the OJ case? The OJ case was made into a black and white issue. I followed both the OJ and the Peterson cases and by far there was more evidence to convict OJ than Scott Peterson. Scott Peterson is guilty also. Something troubling about the OJ trail that has always bothered me is him trying on the glove. Well, leather gloves that are exposed to liquid, either blood or water will shrink. That is why they did not fit his hand. Marsha Clark and Chris Darden did do their job and did it very well. Nicole and OJ had a history, either good or bad and the Brown's had to of known of the abuse. Ron Goldman on the other hand was honestly just at the wrong place at the wrong time. Tt is not for us to judge. We do not walk in the Goldman's or the Brown's shoes.

More OJ Simpson: Q and A with the Goldmans

Although I had nothing but sympathy for this family when this tragedy took place, that feeling has been slowly replaced by disgust. Any one of them could have written a book but have never done so. You cannot use the Amish Murders to compare because they do not have to deal with a killer that is laughing in their face and in the face of the justice system. Forget the criminal trial it has nothing to do with the Civil Trial where he was found responsibile for the deaths and ordered by a court of law to pay millions to the victims family. I don't blame the Goldmans for waiting as long as it takes to make him pay. It was made clear the book was going to be published by someone and all the Goldmans have done is to refuse to allow this killer to once again laugh in their face and turned the tables on him. From what I can see they have gotten on with their lives, after all you don't see them in the media until he pulls another one of his stunts. Letting OJ keep his house, his pension, etc. and then telling the Goldman's they can have millions of dollars is ridiculous. They have a dead son, 13 years of fighting and absolutely nothing to show for that fight. OJ has his life, healthy children and lawyers who seem to know how to protect him. He has had no consequences of any import. If the civil suit had been properly administered, perhaps the Goldman's could put this away. There are no winners here. The thought that two murdered people's lives and deaths would be put in print by the murderer was disgusting to say the least. My understanding is that OJ profitted from the book by being paid $680,000.00 in conference fees. I don't understand why the Goldman's and Brown's did not receive that money?
I try to understand why the Goldman's have decided to publish this book at this time,or any time and no matter how I look at it, it is all about revenge and money. While I believe that it is true that they should do what they want with the book, I pray that some day they get closure on this painful part of their lives. At the same time, I believe that the only people that will buy the book are the same people that would have bought the book if OJ had it published.
OJ, if guilty, will have his judgement day by the biggest judge of them all. Like their lawyer said in the blog: "They have taken something OJ coveted away from him". Victims of brutal crimes are often left with a sense of powerlessness that is impossible to get over. I can crealy see why publishing this book themselves and been able to hold this money away from OJ's murderous hands is very empowering to the Goldman family. They finally feel like they have the upper hand, even if the circumstances are less than ideal. It is not their fault the system has protected OJ all these years. I mean, just put yourselves in their shoes. I don't know how they have managed to keep living their lives after, not only the actual tragedy, but seeing this man walk free, smiling. Smiling every day, on every media. They are hitting OJ where it hurts. I will not be buying the book, I do not wish to read OJ's words but I do hope it is a best seller for the Goldmans sake. It is a victory for them. I wish the Goldmans peace. It is not the best situation, but they did manage to make something out of nothing. The Goldmans published the book because if they didn't, it could possibly fall back into O.J.'s
hands. If it were my son or brother who was murdered and the killer strutted around free, I would do whatever I could to take him down a notch. You have to
look at the facts, the evidence, the whole picture and
once you do, only an idiot could say he is innocent. A
man who leaves a trail of blood from the crime scene to his Bronco to his property to inside his home, up the stairs, in his room and bathroom is not an innocent man. He knows he did it. Also the killer's
glove dropped from the crime scene to the killer's own
back yard. Let's get real here! And as far as the quote goes "If it doesn't fit, you must equit", have you ever tried on a dried, blood soaked, shrunken glove over top of a latex glove? Common sense will tell you it is not easily done. He's a murderer. He knows it. And a man who would put something so horrible in to print for monetary gain shows what kind of person he really is. I would never put something like that into print for my children to read about their mother's death even if i were innocent! Nicole once said if anything happened to her he would O.J. himself out of it and she was right. I can only hope that his latest robbery stunt will put him behind bars where he should of been all along. Being a great football player does not excuse
the horrific murders he has commited.

More OJ Simpson: Q and A with the Goldmans

I would like to send my heart felt condolences to the Goldman Family, they seem like super nice people who obviously suffered tremendously from the loss of Ron. Since the trial brought no justice to the family, the only possible recourse for them was the civil suit. There have been some who accuse the Goldmans of exploiting the situation for money, anyone who has heard them speak passionately about their beloved Ron would know that is not at all the case. I applaude their efforts to hound O.J Simpson's every step, this complete and total outrage of a book he wrote was a poorly disguised confession that he should not be allowed to profit from. Money means a lot to someone like O.J, a man who is used to getting his way and used to a lot of attention, it's obvious he loves his material goods.
Hopefully, Fred and Kim will be a painful thorn in O.J "IF I Did It" Simpson's side to his dying day.

It makes me very happy to know O.J's "Dream Team" could not save him from the wrath of a civil suit, Try that custom tailored suit on for size Mr. "If I Did It"!

M. But some of you remind us of the unthinking segment of our population; you're the kind of simpletons who found OJ not guilty in the criminal trial. To you -- the generally uneducated and clueless -- I say enjoy yourselves and continue to look up to OJ...and Jerry Springer. To those of us who have a brain and children, we understand the Goldmans' dedication to justice and Ron's memory. To condemn the family for sticking to their mission is fatuous. They should be commended for doing what few people have the guts or strength to do -- follow through on a promise based on love and principle. In my opinion it would be much better for their health if they could but is that really possible? O.J. killed their son in a very brutal way. I know he was aquitted but, come on. A majority of the people feel that the evidence against him was overwhelming. Now he walks free and gets his face in front of a camera every chance he gets. How would any of us feel if our child was murdered and the killer walks free. Not only walks free, but lives a life of luxury while the parent suffers everyday for the rest of their life. Getting on with life and not feeling hatred toward Simpson, to me, is a lot easier said than done.

More OJ Simpson: Q and A with the Goldmans

I tried to read most of the opinions you all gave which you are entitled to, but I firmely believe OJ is quilty and if this was my child this happend too I would do the same as the Goldmans are doing, as long as the Goldmans keep on OJ's tail whichever way they do it, it will make OJ remember every day how he butchered two innocent people.

More OJ Simpson: Q and A with the Goldmans

OJ was found NOT GUILTY-----------I beleve Ron Goldman was Nicole's lover! First, while OJ was not found guilty, that by no means assures his innocence. The standard of proof in criminal cases is "beyond a reasonable doubt". The verdict must be reached by unanimous decision of the jury. Given the circus the investigation and trial became, it is not surprising that one or more of the jurors would have a reasonable doubt of his guilt. That's all it took. The standard of proof in a civil matter is "by a preponderance of the evidence" meaning more likely than not(even if only a tiny bit more likely) and only requires 9 of 12 jurors to agree on the defendants liability. No one ever proved OJ was innocent. Second, no one who has not lost a child violently or unexpectedly has any basis by which to judge the Goldmans, their grief or their decisions. You may say I know what that must be like and I know how I would respond, but you do not. They will never "Get over it". They may "Move on" but their lives have been permanently and indelibly altered by the death of their child and brother. There is nothing in their lives, no event, no emotion that is not filtered through their loss. Consider that the actions they have taken, from siezing his Heisman trophy, to publishing his book, to appearing in the media are not attempts to enrich themselves or to punish OJ but are attempts to do what they can to make sense of the terrible hole left in their lives when Ron Goldman was killed.

More OJ Simpson: Q and A with the Goldmans

I dont know why old man Goldman doesnt just kill OJ...its what I would have done if he killed my son....

More OJ Simpson: Q and A with the Goldmans

OJ was not proven innocent. I watched every minute of the trial and I can say from what I saw, he's GUILTY. Why shouldn't the Goldman's benefit from this admission of guilt from the man who killed their son and got away with it. They've hounded him everyday since the trial. I would do the same if it were my child that was killed. They won a large settlement and haven't received a penny from the killer. I'll buy the book and read how he killed them. The jury didn't care about guilt or innocence, they just wanted to send a message to the LAPD. I occasionally read comments on line and it seems that reading for comprehension must not be a skill they teach in High School anymore.

To begin with it is stated in the article, very clearly I might add, that the Judge *ordered* that the book be monetized. For all those out there who do not understand the nuances of the English language that means that the book *has* to be published.

Secondly, the Goldman’s went to court, initially, to *stop* the book from being published because they did not want these details made public. This also would have had the net effect of preventing OJ from putting money in his own pocket and profiting from their son’s death.

Thirdly, a Civil Court found OJ guilty of the murders and awarded them the only justice a Civil Court can dole out; a settlement. I doubt that it has as much to do with money as it has to do with justice. If *you* were awarded a judgment by the court, no matter how big or how small, wouldn’t *you* want to collect on it. One would think you might.

Really, with minds like these voting for our future, I weep for our country.

You are all pathetic and you all deserve the OJ’s of the world.

Besides, without them, how would you ever bring any excitement to your drab, wretched, self involved, lives?
More OJ Simpson: Q and A with the Goldmans

I totally feel sorry for the Goldman family. I have one son and I would be horrified if he died like that. I would want revenge, no matter how long it takes. For some of you people saying they should move on, is absolutely ridiculous. You obviously don't have any children. So you cannot relate to them. they are not doing this for the money, it is part of revenge. OJ is guilty as heck, you all know it. He got away with murdering two people. God is just and now he is getting his payback. You can't spell and you can't even string words together correctly in order to construct a simple, cohesive, sentence.

I swear there ought to be an IQ test you have to pass to own a computer and to be allowed access to the Internet.

Your opening words say it all “I was led to believe”. Yes, like a sheep to the slaughter, like a LEMMING over the edge of a 1000 foot cliff.

You see a pattern emerging here?

THIS is the problem with Americans these days; they don’t know how to think for themselves. All they do is to regurgitate what they hear from their friends and on news stations owned by big corporate conglomerates. They don’t use their brains, if they are fortunate enough to have any, to think for themselves or to do any sort of research.

I’ve come to the sad conclusion that most of the ‘people’ (and I use that term loosely) I have been forced to share the planet with are mindless automatons incapable of logical reasoning much less of thinking for themselves…

Please take your second hand conspiracy theory and go elsewhere. Not on whether OJ was found innocent or guilty in a criminal court, but by the fact that someone can be found guilty in a Civil court AFTER they were found innocent in Criminal court. Even I, as a practicing Assist. DA Prosecutor, do not understand that. Any sensible person must ask themselves the question: "How is it that a court of law can find me innocent of a crime so as I am able to walk God's green earth a free man; yet another court can find me guilty, with and using the SAME evidence, with the only punishment in mind being monetary, and make me pay punitive damages for THE SAME CRIME I WAS ALREADY FOUND INNOCENT OF ?"

Nobody, in the right mind, can say that is a fair and just judicial system. It is hypocritical, at best !!

I have not walked in their shoes, therefore cannot feel their pain ... of which, i hope they find some way to heal.
BUT ... "the system" has allowed this to carry on. Innocent means innocent ... until there is money involved, and then someway, somehow ... well, i think you already have the idea.
