It's much appreciated.</description></item><item><title>Can Mandy maintain after losing 170 pounds?</title><link>http://allday.msnbc.msn.com/archive/2007/09/14/361375.aspx#1900636</link><pubDate>Mon, 20 Apr 2009 22:13:47 GMT</pubDate><guid isPermaLink="false">8a5d2dbc-a0e4-4c7a-979f-3188051f228e:1900636</guid><dc:creator>Sally, Crown Point Indiana</dc:creator><description>Hello - Today we saw another success story, keeping 104# off for 1t yrs. &amp;nbsp;As a person who has also maintained a significant weight loss for 10 yrs, I'd like to comment about how terrible it is for friends, or whoever, TO CONSTANTY REMIND THE WEIGHT LOSER OVER AND OVER AND OVER HOW FAT THEY USED TO BE! &amp;nbsp;They do it in front of anyone and everyone and often at inappropriate embarrassing times. &amp;nbsp;After I lost weight I kept getting comments about -- how I had to STOP now because I looked terrible. &amp;nbsp;Three years later someone said, &amp;quot;I'm glad to see you put on a few pounds, you look normal.&amp;quot; &amp;nbsp;Things was I weighed the same. &amp;nbsp;After my husband died, I did drop more weight- but I did put it back on and stayed healthy looking. &amp;nbsp;Now over 10 yrs later I met another man in my life, and guess what. &amp;nbsp;A few kind so called friends couldn't wait to tell him how fat I used to be. &amp;nbsp;In fact they had me weighing over 300lbs, when I clearly was barely over 200 @ 5'7&amp;quot;. &amp;nbsp;I've been maintaining between 135 and 143 for 10 yrs.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;So, my point is: &amp;nbsp;Sometimes it's hard to be successful at seeing yourself as a normal sized person when everyone keeps telling you there's a fat person lurking beneath. &amp;nbsp;For me, it was hard to do, I had gained the weight over a short period of time-- and didn't see myself as a heavy person, but an average sized person that let her self go.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;So, to all you weight loss seekers-- remember it's the lifestyle that maintains a healthy (not necessarily thin) body. &amp;nbsp;And sometimes, you might need to get new friends.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Best of luck!</description></item></channel></rss>
