Dan Radcliffe has been telling the press that he thought Harry was going to die for quite sometime now. I am now a little disappointed - it was obviously becasue JKR told him this tidbit. He should have kept those remarks to himself...

well if someone told me that i was going to have a death scene then im prity sure that i would think i was going to die! To be honest... i truly thought that Harry Potter was going to die in the final book. Even tho he didnt die i thought it was a woulderful book!! I wish Harry had died. It would have at least been more interesting than the cheap ending Rowling went with. It wasn't bad, but it just too plain. Did Harry become and auror? What of Hermione, Ron - beyond them becoming baby factories, the rest of the world? Voldemort's body? Was it put on display the Louvre? Come on Rowling.

Was I suppose to be using my imagination and sense of wonder for the ending? Again, come on, I've been doing that for seven books now. Reward me a little a bit for getting to the end.

Some of these questions will apparently be answered in her upcoming Harry Potter Encyclopedia. Ron and Harry DID become aurors. Hermione works in wizarding law in some capacity.

I'm sad to see the Harry Potter story end. I've enjoyed watching (in my mind) The Trio grow up. To see friendship such as theirs withstand the kind of pressure they went through is amazing. I was mad at Ron for leaving, however, I forgave him the moment he came back. JKRowling may be the author, but I'm not about to get mad at her for what the characters have done. To me, the characters "live". I'm anxious to read whatever Rowling writes next!!

Not a bad book, i thought that there were about 100 or so pages that were utterly boring, the, "They slept in the forest of Dean, Hermione cooked mushrooms, Ron was Grumpy and moaned, then they went to sleep. The next night they slept in the black forest, Hermione cooked mushrooms, Ron was Grumpy and moaned, then they went to sleep..." and on and on a different night a different forest. That 100 odd pages could have been used so much better also i thought Voldemort should have been in it more, rather than being a sort of 'in the back ground' type of character, for supposedly the Greatest dark wizard ever, we didn't really see much of his skill, power and magical ability put to use. Another thing that i was let down about, was the size of the book, i hoped it would have been about the same size as 'Oder of the Phoenix',the closure to the series could have been better as well, meh - i could write for ages about good and bad points, as I'm sure most other fans could, but i won't, i have gone on for long enough. So in short, it was good, but not the best by far.

stop your whinning. great 7 books,they will stand the test of time.some died that cought me by suprise and some that didnt suprised me also.(no malfoys died)the thought that its all over is sad has been alot to look forward to for a long time .THANK YOU J.K. from an old man that never liked to read. have read them all at least 3 times.and so has my son.

I thought the ending was great in that it brought the story to a happy close. I wasn't fond of the frst 2/3's of the book and would have very much liked to see more of the characters I had become so fond ~ like Hagrid, Neville and Professor McGonegall. I don't think I really started to enjoy the story until the book took us to Hogwart's. And the really tragic thing was not knowing what Ron and Hermione and Ginny and Harry ended up doing ... other than sending their kids off to Hogwart's. Another book would be really nice!

I love the books, but this last one is the best of all because Harry did not die, what would've been the point of all 7 books if he had died? He showed how great he was and how much love can really defeat evil. The only sad part is no more books to read and we will have to just live with out more HP which to me is a big misfortune but I will always be a Harry Potter fan...

I loved the ending to the Harry Potter book. I thought that Rowling did awesome with how she ended it because she gave us a very twisted ending. If Harry would've died I would have cried every time i thought about the book, I cried just thinking it was a very large possibility he could die. Yet if people thought Harry dying would make it interesting it did to them because he sort of did die and the twisted ending made it agreeable, and great for everybody. Plus it made it great for the ending of the last book in the series. I loved the book it was the best book I have ever read out of all the books ever, I wish the series wasn't over but what a great way to end it. I can't wait to see the movie!!!!!!

I absolutely loved this book! It tore my heart out when Snape died by sacrificing his position. Albus Severus...rips at the heartstrings! I adore the stance Snape took throughout the series. He and Sirius are my favorite characters aside from Harry.

i loved all harry potter books and when i finished the last book i was almost in tears thinkng about how i would't wait for the next and how it ended.the worst thing was the death of fred,lupin,and tonks that was really something i had to reread to make sure of.
