I just finally got my HP7 and I'd like to say that I've throughly enjoyed the book! Yes, I stayed up most of the night to read it. There were sad parts, but the whole of the book was great reading.
Thank you, J.K. Rowling for having written a story that is honest, strong and true to the characters you've built. Even if the nineteen year jump is jarring, it's good to know. Besides, I can always hope you'll visit the families in the future and write more books!

I was wondering if Harry Potter would ever become a cartoon. I personally hate the cartoons on tv today. I think saturday morning cartoon with harry potter would be a blast. Think of the endless show's that could be done..

It would be nice for her to write the book of how everything actually started. Before Harry Potter was born and what really happened to his parents and why it happened. To actually see what happened to first group of wizards who tried to go against the evil side. I understood it but really do not know what happened that the evil turned againt the school and concentrated on Harry as a person. Like Star Wars did this past years, showed where the main chararters developed from. Thank you.

I've been a late arriver into the Harry Potter world, but what has always impressed me about Jo is that her focus is always, always on the children reading the books.

How thrilling that there is this much conversation and discussion about a series of BOOKS! It doesn't matter if you liked them or not, if you felt fulfilled at the end or felt more needed to be written, the fact is, this series has given this generation of children a gift they will appreciate for many years: they read books and can say "they were there" when a new 'classic' was created. I have not quite finished the seventh book but I could not resist hearing J.K. Rowlings account. I am so relieved that predictions that I made about the future for Harry, Ron and Hermoine actually ended up in the last book. My entire family, including my youngest grandchild, disagreed with me. They said that Ron and Hermoine would never get together and I must be crazy to think that Harry would ever marry "little" Ginny, afterall, she was the little sister he never wanted! Thanks Sal of NY----I agree that to get children "of all ages" READING again is truly important!!!!! Thanks for the inspiration. My daughter, whose birthday is also July 31, said that finishing the 7th book felt like her childhood was ending. After finishing the first book at 10 or 11 she waited very impatiently for her letter from Hogwarts. I believe she is still waiting. Thank you Ms. Rowling. The interview was excellent.

I'm really inspired by J.K.Rowling and Meredith and her family. Meredith's husband wrote Blindsighted. My son has autism I look at him every day with awe. I really never saw him as anyone but himself. I never knew there were some that felt bad for me? I have grown and learned so much from my son that its humbling. I still have not read blindsighted but want to. I am very interested in the ability of disablity.

I just wanted to say I finished Harry Potter 7, and I wanted to let JK know she wasn't the only one crying over chapter Thirty Four! I actually had to go get tissues, and I was trying so hard not to cry on the pages of the book because it was a library copy! I loved the book and I loved how JK was so protective of it. I had no idea what was going to happen before the book came out. Oh, and I would be one of those fans that will not rest untill I find out EVERY LAST DETAIL about Harry and Co.

I just saw the interview with Meredith and Rowling and I thought it was excellent, though I wished they had discussed more about the book than they had. i wanted to know more but i loved it!!! i am glad that I was introduced to harry potter, because now I can say I actually read a book I had dreams about what i read. This last book felt like I was saying goodbye to some great friends i've come to love. It make me sad to think that there will no longer be a story as wonderful as harry to look forward to. but be sure taht i willbe reading them to my own child as he gets older.
