Meredith Vieira
Kyli Walls from Bloomington, Indiana visited the Plaza this past summer. We featured her photo (second one down on post) here on allDAY.
She "had a blast" and posted the following video about her experience.

What’s a gal got to do to get on the Emmy-winning NBC sitcom “30 Rock”? In the case of TODAY’s Meredith Vieira, pretty much anything. Interviewing “30 Rock” star (and executive producer, and head writer, and….) Tina Fey on TODAY Thursday, Vieira noted rather pointedly that NBC Nightly News anchor Brian Williams has grabbed a guest spot on the show this season, while Meredith’s own invite must have got lost in the mail. “I too love comedy, and I have a particularly strong relationship with your cast -- as you may or may not know,” Vieira pointed out to Fey.
Fey knew, all right: When her “30 Rock” costar Tracy Morgan appeared on TODAY last year, Meredith had locked lips with him in a faux display of passion that was, as Fey put it, “almost inappropriate.”
While Vieira maintained that she “would do more than that, if that’s what it took” to gain a guest stint on “30 Rock,” Fey bemoaned her own lack of steamy clinches on TODAY.
“Who do you want?” Meredith responded eagerly. “[Executive producer] Jim Bell? You want Al Roker?”
“I would take Al Roker,” Fey replied. Whereupon TV’s favorite weatherman stormed onto the set, dipped Tina’s head back, and pretended to give her a huge smooch. After the pseudo-clinch, Roker shook his head and bellowed, “Hoo-ha!”
“30 Rock” begins its fourth season at 9:30 p.m. ET Thursday, and while the show has long been a critic’s darling, it’s also picked up viewers every season.
“We feel very lucky – I feel we’re like in that movie ‘Final Destination’ and we somehow cheated death and it’s going to come find us,” Fey said.

TODAY helped People magazine celebrate its 35th anniversary by re-creating the show’s set from 1974, and all four anchors got into the groove by donning '70s polyester and shaggy hairdos (check out those 'staches!). Here’s a sneak peek at the magazine spread, which goes on sale on newsstands on Friday. Far out!

In an exclusive interview with TODAY's Meredith Vieira, Kate Gosselin will speak out about her estranged husband's recent actions, as well as the decision to halt production of her hit reality television show.
From TODAY correspondent Sara Haines I have heard Meredith and a couple others from the office mention that they are doing a "detox," (which is not a "cleanse" I learned from Meredith, even though I have always used the terms synonymously). When I heard her mention this "detox" once again, I had to get the skinny on what exactly she is doing.
From TODAY correspondent Sara Haines A lot of you were asking online this morning about Meredith's hot new shoes. I found her outside of her dressing room and we talked shop...or um, more accurately, shoes.
The TODAY hosts have learned to expect the unexpected when Amy Poehler is on the set – the last time she was on TODAY, she brought her own mammoth-size coffee cup for the occasion. Today was the funnywoman’s 38th birthday, and true to form, Poehler showed up for her interview with Meredith Vieira with her own party hats and noisemakers. After Meredith read the “Parks and Recreation” star her horoscope from the New York Post, Poehler was presented with a birthday cake. She promptly reached into it, grabbed a fistful and proclaimed, “Food fight!” The segment ended with Meredith fleeing and Poehler in hot pursuit, while co-host Matt Lauer laughingly egged her on.
