TODAY helped People magazine celebrate its 35th anniversary by re-creating the show’s set from 1974, and all four anchors got into the groove by donning '70s polyester and shaggy hairdos (check out those 'staches!). Here’s a sneak peek at the magazine spread, which goes on sale on newsstands on Friday. Far out!

Love, peace and SOUL … on TODAY?
Complete with hot pants, bell-bottoms and perfectly coiffed Afros, Matt, Meredith, Ann and Al brought out their inner disco divas this morning when they worked the dance floor of the “Soul Train” line.
“I’ve been known … to bust a move or two,” Meredith said.
No, they weren’t re-living the glory days of ‘70s, and the TODAY set wasn’t transformed into a dance club.
The TODAY hosts’ faces were digitally inserted into old footage from the funky classic TV dance show, “Soul Train,” courtesy of the Web site JibJab.com.
“Al and Ann I think look phenomenal, I look ridiculous,” Meredith laughed.
Meanwhile, Al was reminded that he once rocked big ‘70s hair.
It's important to have role models in life. Growing up, I always looked up to my dad. Well, my dad and Kirby Puckett. He was the epitome of a baseball player -- athletic, smart. He was not only a leader in the clubhouse, but in the community as well. The same can be said about my dad. Except for maybe that whole athletic thing (sorry dad). But he served as the perfect example when it came to a work ethic that I still strive to duplicate.
Everyone has these mentors in their life, including our anchors here at TODAY. So, I decided to ask the TODAY family in this week's Getting to Know TODAY: Who's your role model? Some of their answers may surprise you...
Be sure to tell us about your role models below!

In this month's Women's Health and Men's Health magazines, Matt and Ann have both been selected as what the magazine calls "Age Erasers."
Readers helped the editors choose people who they feel "...look younger than their years suggest." Check out their acceptance speeches here and peek inside the magazines after the jump.

From Ann's Facebook page, here is a look at White House reporter Helen Thomas's face "upon being asked if she would consider joining Twitter."

Al Roker -- what a guy. So many words come to mind when you think of America's favorite weatherman.
He is always ready to offer viewers the most up-to-date weather news -- while offering a little entertainment at the same time. He's covered countless hurricanes and storms, but he has also been seen running around the plaza as the Gingerbread Man, shared a little jig with "Shrek's" Princess Fiona and even performed rhythmic gymnastics in Beijing. All in all, Al certainly brings plenty of joy and laughs to viewers across the country. So, I asked the TODAY family in this week's Getting to Know TODAY: Finish the sentence: Al Roker makes me ...
Be sure to post your answers below. How would you finish the sentence? Do you agree with the majority of the answers? Don't forget to add your ideas for future "Getting to Know TODAY" questions as well. Hopefully we'll pick yours.
