Hoda's response to breast cancer faker

On Friday’s show, we reported on a 24-year-old woman who claimed she was undergoing chemotherapy for breast cancer, even going as far as to shave her head and raise $10,000 for treatment costs. It was later revealed she was faking it — just to get some money for a boob job.

After the show, TODAY correspondent Sara Haines caught up with fourth-host and breast cancer survivor Hoda Kotb for her response to the astonishing story. Hoda admitted she was not only shocked, but nauseated by the news.

“The idea that someone would pretend to have [breast cancer] makes you just sick to your stomach,” said Hoda Kotb in a web-only video. “I can’t believe someone would do that." Watch the clip:

For eight years I haven't said much about being a breast cancer survivor.  Why, mine was found on a mamogram extermely early.  I had a lumpdectomy and radiation.  When I think what other women have been thru I am thankful I didn't but I also was blessed to have gotten thru it so easy.  How anyone could want to fake cancer is beyound me.  So many women have suffered and survied and so didn't make it.  Faking dishonors these brave and wonderful women.
The implants should be ripped out and charged to this cancer faker!
Amen, GrannyB. The faking dishonors those who are fighting breast cancer. I think her punishment should be the removing the implants plus working directly with breast cancer patients especially ones in Hospice.
I AM A 36 YEAR OLD MOM OF 4, I WAS TOLD I HAD BREAST CANCER ON OCT 1ST 2009, I SEE EVERYDAY WHAT IT DOES TO A FAMILY. I AM VERRY AFRAID AND I WORRY EVERYDAY.I AM SICKEND BY THIS WOMAN. I CANT EVEN BELIEVE SOMEONE CAN SAY THEY HAD CANCER TO GET BIGGER BOOBS, WHEN SOME WOMAN HAVE NONE. IF THEY CANOT RETURN THE MONEY TO THE PEOPLE WHO GAVE IT TO HER, I THINK SHE SHOULD HAVE TO GIVE EVERY PENNY TO THE SUSAN G KOMAN FOUNDATION. AND ALSO DO COMMUNITY SERVICE FOR A CANCER CLINIC.
