I am a parent and I don't know that I'd allow my 16 yr old to sail the world, but that doesn't make it wrong for everyone.  12-19 year olds have done amazing things in the past and if it wasn't for low expectations, many more teens would probably step up and make history.  Whatever our opinions, please don't confuse this with Balloon Boy which was a lie and wrong morally.  This is not wrong morally, it's opinion.  Look at Amelia Earhart.....

Allowing this girl to sail around the world by herself is insane.  Her parents are very irresponsible.  I agree with Kathy, her brain isn't developed; therefore, she isn't mentally prepared for this journey.  I pray that nothing happens to this girl, if it does I blame the parents.
