Michael Jackson I am one year older than you are.  I loved you from the beginning and will forever! My daughters love you too! There will be a big show in heaven now that you are there.  Rest in Peace.
Michael was an amazing artist and obviously very well respected, however, the person I feel the most for here is Farah Fawcett and her family - she once again has been upstaged - even in a death that she had worked so hard to plan for.  I don't think she nor Ryan planned for this media competition. I hope they, both Farah and Michael, have found peace.
What a SAD month, 4 wonderful people gone. All very differently as they were in life. Remembering David Carradine, Ed McMahon, Farrah Fawcett and Michael Jackson. R.I.P. all. Now Michael has found the peace I believe he has always needed. God Bless them all and their families.
Hi i was born in 68' in sangley point naval hospital phillipines and my first concert was the jackson 5 in manila 75' a memory i well always remember and charish MJ was a part of everybodys life in some way or another.
Our heartfelt sympathy and prayers go out to the friends and families of 3 great entertainers Michael Jackson, Farah Fawcett, and Ed McMahon. It was such a shock to hear about Michael's death, almost seemed surreal and didn't really hit me till I watched everything on tv. I grew up during the Michael Jackson era and dancing to his music you felt like you were in a different world, a better world. Twenty years later I can still dance to his music and feel like I went back in time. He will always be remembered and loved....we will miss you Michael!
Michael Jackson was a musical genious.  His life directly parallels that of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.  Child prodigy, just wanted to be loved by his father who put him out there in the public eye as an entertainer, controversial lifestyle, and tragic death.  Anyone who can get past the exentric adult life that he lead, can see what a big heart he had for the good of the world and especially children.  Michael will live on forever as one of the worlds true legends.
Michael and I were the same age!  He is the greatest performer that ever lived, no question!!!  He was a good father to his kids and people should remember the good, and think of those kids!  He tried to protect them from the limelight, look at what it did to him?  The media is cruel and undaunting!  Yes he made some mistakes but haven't we all?!  He was not a made entertainer I could name many, he was a real talent.  He is in heaven right now resting in peace, looking at this world, saying you would not let me be just like Marilyn Monroe.  Rest in peace Michael, I for one loved you!!!
My son was 8 years old when Michael came to Pittsburgh.  He and I were huge fans before we saw his performance and if possible, became bigger fans after seeing him.  Yesterday my 29 year old son told me that he felt as though he had lost some of his childhood with Michael's passing.  As the Thriller album plays in the back, I, too feel a sense of loss.  He was an amazing entertainer and a genius in the world of music.  May his soul rest in peace which he deserves.
Does anyone remember the quote Al said this morning about three people dying in a row? He said something the sick, and the sudden.
I, like many grew up with Michael Jackson.  Michael truely united the world with his music.  When I was stationed in Spain, I bought several pieces of art work for a local painter.  One time in particular they came by to show me their art, I had the Bad album playing.  When I asked how much a particular piece was , they said they would trade it for the album.  They loved Michael and said "America and the world are so lucky to have him."  We sat down together and listened to the whole album,  afterwords I gave them the album.
It didn't matter that I spoke broken Spanish or that they spoke broken English.  We could "sing" Michael together.  I pray that God grants Michael the peace he so despirately seeked while on earth and that he wraps his loving arms around  his children and family!  Laura Ashe, Richmond KY
Yes Michael Jackson, like most of us, had his good points and bad. It seems we focus enough on the bad during a person's life. Why not focus on the good that he did as we remember him at his death? He was a musical genuis who unfortunately peaked early in his life. But his video and musical accomplishments are truly legendary.

Does anyone know the name of the song they played at the end of today's show paying tribute to Michael Jackson and Farrah?
I am very confused.  Years ago I was a Michael Jackson fam and enjoyed his music.  He was great.  I am saying he WAS great.  Since that time, he has become an embarassment.  Why are their such tributes being given to a pedophile.  Remember, he abused children.  You will say he has never been convicted of the crime; however, that was only because he settled with the abusers.  Michael Jackson should go to his maker and receive his just deserts.  We should not be deifying a child abuser.
I just wish everyone would stop talking about the bad and look at the good in these fallen soldiers we just lost in the last couple of days. Mj entertained us, and FF did the same. Forget the bad, look at the good. Let their families have their peace. RIP MJ AND FF. God Bless your families!
Condolences to Michael's family. I think my sister Daisy is Michael's most devoted fan. I felt like he was a part of the family, because she loved him so much. Michael will be missed and the world will not be the same without him. I am praying for the family. To the fans that bought tickets to his concert instead of asking for your money back think about giving that money to Michael's kids. For the love of Michael.
Enough about MJ, he was a freak and a pedophile.  Instead of doing good things with his millions he blew it.  I'm sick of hearing about him like he was a god.
I wish the media, 'Today' included, would focus on the brilliance of Michael. His financial and private life should remain just that, private. Michael was the total package musician; songwriter, instrumentalist, singer, promoter. He truly SAW and FELT his music. His music will be a treasured memory for those of us left behind to mourn the loss of a world icon.
My heart wants to know, was he happy? A man who dedicated his life to spreading joy looked as though he carried the weight of the world and sack of sadness on his shoulder. If Michael could have been given one gift I would have give him “unspeakable joy!” I will always remember Michael as a musical genius. His music has transformed the world and destroyed barriers. His body may be gone from this earth, but his soul will forever live on through his music.
MY Heart and prayers go out for the family members of farah fawcett who put up a heroic fight and will always be that special angel to us all. To a stupendous music artist michael jackson who I will always remember for all his remarkable achievements. May god forgive them for that which they did and could not do. Gods grace and peace to them both, let us who are there devoted fans lift them up in our love and place them into the arms of the heavenly father. We love you and you will always hold that special place in our hearts.Till we meet again we remain you're christian brothers and sisters.
I think it is sad, with all the things going on in the world, that so much time is spent covering Michael Jackson.  Here is a man, who was an alleged child molester, and pediaphile, and he is being treated like the best thing since sliced bread.  Lets not forget all that has been reported.  Let us also not forget the interview with Lisa Marie, when she stated that Michael was going to go the same way as her father.  With his career in the shape that it was, it would not suprise me if that is not what happened.
I have been listening to Michael's music since I was at least 8 years old. I played Thriller with my high school marching band and that was when I really started to appreciate his work. Michael was America's King of Pop and will surely be missed by all Americans and all around the world. I think that sometimes people don't know what they have until it's gone and I think that's the case with Michael. The world will not be the same without Michael Jackson. We love you Michael!
listening to his Music is Bringing back SO!!! SO!!! Many memories and good times...Every song has a forever endless stream of memories...WOW!!!!...It's like loseing a parent,That is how much.I allowed his music to touch into my soul and became apart of my life...Just woven within the very fabric of me....
I feel like a small voice after all the beautiful comments & feelings of love for Michael. I will never forget sitting on the living room floor watching The Ed Sullivan show. Here came little Michael, almost same age as I...we listened so quietly, so intently, and I turned around to my parents telling them "I want to marry him, he's a dreamboat". To this day, I joke my husband...you were only outvoted by Michael Jackson. And 33 years later, he smiles, understanding my fondness & love for a man who made him & I so happy
with his sharing, loving spirit. Michael is smiling down on all of us.
I share the same wonderful memories as e1 else who loved him. His song 'Gone Too Soon' may be about Ryan White and others who have gone on before their time, and now it is about Michael. Tears will come, though joy will always follow with thoughts of him.
After reading some of the comments and the majority of them are great, there is always someone to damper the mood. If we as people would just stop judging and thinking that we have done no wrong in our life, the world would be a better place.Let's honor Micheal Jackson as a human being, a child of God, who gave us such joy with his music. All of us has sinned and fell short of God's glory. RIP Micheal and know that you are Loved!!!
