Matt? Meredith? Kathie Lee? Who would you ask to babysit?

Summer officially begins on Sunday, and with the weather warming up and vacation on everyone's mind, some parents may be gearing up for a little getaway. But what does that mean for your kids?  It's never an easy task to leave your little ones with just anyone ... even a TODAY Show anchor.

Inspired by the success of the recently published "TODAY'S Moms" book, we decided to go straight to our TODAY show moms and dads (here's lookin' at you, Al) to see who among our TODAY family would be recruited for babysitting duties.

In this week's "Getting to Know TODAY," we ask the TODAY family: If you had to trust your kids with another TODAY anchor to babysit, who would you choose and why?

Be sure to post your babysitter choice below -- would you place Matt on diaper duty? Do you really think Kathie Lee would get the kids to bed on time? Don't forget to add your ideas for future "Getting to Know TODAY" questions as well. Hopefully we'll pick yours.

As always, check the allDAY blog every Tuesday to learn the latest answers to all your burning questions about the TODAY family!

Any one of them could baby sit my kids. I think the kids would not only learn positive character traits from each of them, but have a blast.  I can't imagine they would stop smiling or laughing the whole time.
anne for sure, she seems very gentle, easy going and playful
Ann for sure.  If she can handle altitude sickness and still pull off her upbeat attitude, kids should be NO PROBLEM!!! :)
If I were a mom:

Definitely not Matt. Just kidding! He'd be a blast with kids. What about Ann? Is she not willing to babysit or what? haha.

Really, I think I would have to say Meredith. Seems like she would have just as much fun with kids, as she would have with them. I wish I could have been lucky enough to have been babysat by one of you! I've been told my brother and I had a real mean babysitter when I was a baby...not cool.

Loved the Today Show this morning, David Gregory was wonderful filling in for Matt! Have a great rest of the day all!

Take care,
-Cary
I would say Ann Curry - she seems to have the sweetest spirit.  I think she could handle my 4 :)
Id let either one watch my kids  all 3 of my kids are  slow develomentally delayed and hard headed  would take note depending on how well you do
Ann
Matt can be my live-in manny, if that's cool......
Definitely Matt! He would keep my son active and neat and clean too - my type of babysitter!
Since I'm a big over grown kid my first choice would be Amy Robach, I love to eat so second choice would be Al Roker.
OK - my "kids" are really "dogs" but don't tell them that. They only know that they are "boys" and I never say the word "dog" in front of them for fear that they may be offended. So given that my boys have four legs and not two - I think Al Roker would be a good babysitter. I think he could handle my boys just fine. All you have to do is feed them and say "sit" very authoritatively.
Ann Curry hands down. Love everyone but I think she is the most adventurous and seems to know when to have fun and when to be serious! 2nd would be AL ROKER! just in general another person very likable(no matter what heidi says)and he cooks dinner so they would eat!
I agree with Kim fully! Any of them would be a great influence. Plus, babysitters aren't suppose to get the kids to bed on time.

any of the bunch would be welcome. Meredith and Al would bring the fun, Ann would comfort a skinned knee or kiss a bonked head... and if Matt were around, there would be no need for Ann because I envision he would make sure everyone was super safe, neat and tidy... injuries avoided! But Ann is still a must because she is an Oregon Duck.
ann curry hands down.  matt maybe if they were already asleep.  al would just be a pushover for my spirited babies.  ann curry -- she's my pick!
Matt Lauer, definitely!
I would have to say Ann or Al. Ann is fun, adventurous and I think my boys would have a great time with her.
But Al...well he is just FUN!! and he can cook. My boys love BBQ..I am sure Al could make some ribs and they would be just fine. No offense against Meredith or Matt...I think Al and Ann are more suited to my boys personalities.
I think Al Roker would be great cause I think he would be wonderfull  with children, but since my daughter seems to only like women I would have to say Meredith.  She looks like she could handle a hard headed two year old, she handles Matt everyday.
Ann Curry...no doubt about it...she seems playful, but, would also teach and not be boring...
Ann and Kathie Lee to babysit my darling knucklehead grandchildren! Matt would let them walk all over him and Meredith would take a nap and let them do anything they want.
I think all of them would be great. Although they are so much fun I don't think I would want to leave!
I would ask Matt to babysit, and then I would break my plans to stay home and get to know him better;)
Meredith or Anne would be my choice.  Then Al.  Natalie would be a great babysitter.
I think my kids would absolutely love a visit from any of the Today Show-ers.  They would love all to be there.  In fact, I'm sure they wouldn't want him to go... He's a great cook, and let's just say I'm not!  Ann and my daughter would get along so wonderfully.  They both seem to have that sweet, but "I can be serious if I need to" temperment.  Matt and my two boys would love to hang out.  My boys are really wanting to learn to play golf, so I know they'd get along great.  Meredith, well, she is another one my daughter would love to hang out.  My daughter LOVED watching her on "Millionaire."  And Kathie Lee and Hoda... two wonderful ladies who could take on my kids anytime.  They would both keep my kids laughing all day and I know they would have so much fun.
Kathie Lee. I'm afraid all the others would read them an Obama children's book.
I would have Meredith babysit while Matt and I went out for a glass of wine... haha  If my husband would let me.  Good thing my kids are grown.
I would have to say Matt, not only would I return to a spotless house, I know that my children would not be exposed to unnecessary germs and would always wear a helmut while bike-riding.
I would let Meredith watch my kids in a heartbeat! She is kinda of zany and silly and I think she would be great with my equally zany and silly kids. I think my 5 yr. old and 2 yr. old would have a blast with Meredith.
Ann would be my pick, I can see her getting down on the floor and playing with them.
Why don't you send my husband and I out on a couple of dates, and test each of your anchors?!  I would be happy to be treated to a few nights out, while conducting this "experiment" and I'm sure my boys would love to offer their feedback :)  I have 3 boys--9, 7, and 2 years old.....let's give it a shot!
Well depends what I want my kids to learn. Al - for a laugh. Meredith - for love and laughter. Matt - for cleanliness. Ann - for a spirit of giving, love and warmth
I would trust any of them to watch my kids. I follow Al on twitter and know that he spends a lot of quality time with his kids. I think he's a great dad. I think the rest of them are great role models too.
Either Ann or Meredith.  Ann because she seems adventerous to take care of some complete stranger's baby, or Meredith because she is very motherly.

Sorry Matt & Al, but you both look like you would have more fun dressing up in different costumes than changing diapers!
No question, Matt Lauer would be my choice.  Any time I've seen him do a segment about children he is totally absorbed and in to it. Safety, caring, sharing. Matt all  the way.
Hands down Ann wins!  She has the best attitude, the willingness to "get along".  She is a good soul.
I  think ann or merdith would be great with my grandchildren as they both have a sweet and friendly attitude
I think all of them. Ann for her nurturing, Merideth for her kindred and fun spirit, Matt for his protection and yes hygiene, Al for his demeanor and joyful soul, Kathie Lee for her love and protection, Natalie for her recent experience since she just had a new born, Houda for her laughter and gentleness, Lester for his positive male image, Amy for her happiness positiveness and style,Jenn for her adventurous outgoing personality and Erin for her newness.  Collectively they would all make the perfect babysitter as they do the Today Show!
I would choose anyone of them to watch my kids.

Matt- because I know they will stay clean

Ann and Natalie- They are so gentle, I know they will receive a lot of love if they were feeling down

Al- They would always be dressed appropriatly for the weather and have food in their stomachs

Meredith - She seems like she knows how to have a good time and the kids would love her. I think she would be the one to keep the kids up past their bed time.
Al, because apparently he doesn't take crap from anyone!  Take that Speidi!
I would love for Ann to watch my daughter.... adventure, free spirit, and funny.... also Matt because he looks so much like my father when he was matts age... (handsome) and my daughter never got to meet her grandfather.....
Matt, if I had children still small enough for a babysitter, because his kids are little and he's still in tune with that pre-school set. And besides, our dog and lack of hygiene here and there would totally freak him out!
I think it would be a toss up between Ann and Meredith.  They both have such personable characters, that it would seem my kids would have a blast with both of them, if they were to babysit.  Ok so when can I expect you? :) I'm dying for a night out!
Amy I bet she likes to shop
Ann, because she's peaceful, brilliant and calm, and Natalie because she seems like a great mom too! Matt's too germophobic, and Meredith would be mothering with a glass of wine in her hand (haha)
My first choice is AL!! Lots of fun, great snacks, wonderful Dad.  If my kids were being bratty (like Speidi) he would set them straight... with my blessing! (Go Team Roker!) Matt would certainly be someone I'd like my son to emulate, impeccable manners, wonderful dresser, a real gentleman.  Ann is kind yet has a true goofy side and Meredith would be fun, too!
Ann hands down.  She is so gentle and peaceful plus anyone that Elmo is in love with gets my vote. haha
I'd let Meredith babysit while Ann and I go ziplining, skydiving, hiking or something fun!
P.S. I'd have to borrow the kids...
KLG so Hoda and I could hang
my kids would be too much for any one of them, or all 4 of them together, but for a future getting to know you question-i would ask who would you rather go on a vacation with? - i would have to say Ann, because she always goes to the wildest places.
Well if I needed a baby sitter it would Al.Because Al looks like a big teddy bear. But since his name is not there it would have to be Meredith. She is more likely to be a mommy type. Kathy Lee is too primpy to baby sit one of my children. Matt seems to nice to be a baby sitter. He would get coned by my children. ya know, stay up late, buy me something, feed me junk, type of baby sitter.
