Ann Curry honored as Mother of the Year

The American Cancer Society honored Ann Curry this afternoon by presenting her with their “Mother of the Year” award at a luncheon emceed by Kathie Lee Gifford.  The only problem?  Ann was flying back from Africa and missed the event...just barely!  She was making her way through customs as the award was being presented.  Meredith Vieira accepted the award on Ann’s behalf. 

Congrats, Ann!

Awesome!  She is a remarkable woman.  She is a MOM to so many of us viewers.  I have enjoyed her for years and will continue to do so. So CONGRATULATIONS to you Ann Curry on an award much deserved.  By the way, do they have a Woman of the Year award, because if they did you would get that one hands down.

What an honor for Ann!  Being a good mother is a rewarding and very important job - especially these days.  The more I see of her travels and reporting throughout the world, the more impressed I am with her.  Kudos to you Ann on being such a positive role model for women.

Ann Curry is a woman I so admire. Her sincere compassion for people and the intelligence by which she conducts interviews makes her my star on the Today Show! As a retired teacher, I just wish I could say she was in one of my classes!!!

I agree with Mr. Leinaar, she does deserve to be Woman of the Year.  She has so much compassion for everyone she meets.  She inspires me to do all I can for all my fellow man, woman and child. Congratulations, Ann!  Continue the good work!
