KLG & Hoda heat up Hollywood

Move over Brangelina, TomKat, McPalin... there’s a new couple taking up Us Weekly real estate: HodaLee! The dynamic duo took L.A. by storm this weekend, inching out the celebrities in town for the Emmys. The ladies, decked out their flirtiest West Coast attire (KLG opted for a hot leopard number) started their grand L.A. tour by dining at hotspot The Ivy — where contemporaries like Teri Hatcher, Nicole Richie and Lindsay Lohan have been known to schmooze and nibble.

As I tried to catch up with the TODAY staff, I was aggressively pushed and completely overwhelmed by the paparazzi calling out for the 4th hour hosts. Lalaland was all over them. Even HodaLee seemed surprised. As the ladies finished up lunch and shopped at Les Habitudes next door, they admitted they hardly receive the same amount of attention back in New York. The gals could get used to this.

But despite the flashing light bulbs and autograph pleas, Hoda claimed it was “a cool experience” to be worshipped by Robertson Blvd.’s finest celeb stalkers. Not that Hoda lost sight of her own Hollywood goal — to catch a glimpse of Alec Baldwin. (To quote Kathie Lee, “You came all the way to L.A. to see Alec?! You can just see him at 30 Rock! Please Hodawoman, just look for him in the building, OK?”)

Tune in to TODAY on Monday to catch more of Hoda & KLG’s adventure, including a trip to Mann’s Chinese theatre and a special report from the Emmys’ red carpet.  Live in L.A.? Join the show!

Champagne at noon? These ladies know how to party.

Upon receiving random gifts and compliments from fellow patrons, Kathie Lee exclaimed “You never know who you’re going to meet at The Ivy!”

While secretly silencing their excitement, Hoda & KLG casually greet the paparazzi.

Sure, they look fabulous facing the cameras, but I saw a 10-year old boy refuse them a kiss. Kids here must be holding out for Giada.

I love, love Hoda and KLG!  KLG is my BFF if I couldm meet her in real life.  XXX OO M.
Kathy Lee and Hoda,
I was visiting Hollywood from St. Louis and got to see you in front of the Chinese Theatre. You both looked beautiful and were so friendly. What a great highlight to the trip. Had I known you were in town for the Emmy's I would have pitched taking me, a mom of five from the midwest-3 of whom are in the military and one who is in Iraq, with you to the Emmy's. What a great story for NBC - oh well, maybe next time! Thanks again for talking with us
oh man how kool would it be to meet them in person. oh well, im only a MAJOR drive away from them so i could find time (if i had it) to go to the plaza and see em :D :)
I love Hoda and Kathy! :)
It was fun seeing the real "stars" on the walk!  You both should have your own star!  Fun to watch!
I just wanted to post that I was delighted with KLG's response to the Jamie Lee Spears breastfeeding pictures... she was spot on in saying that there is nothing remotely pornographic about a woman nursing her baby.  Anyone that would attempt to make something scandalous out of something so natural and beautiful should be scorned.  Thank you KLG for championing this important cause.  It's sad that people forget that we are mammals and that breastfeeding is the biological standard for our species--not something that should be in anyway sexualized.  Amen sistah.

Viewer's Note-- I am having trouble finding the appropriate place on this site to leave feedback--each member of the Today Show family ought to have an easily accesible link for such comments... KLG is not even listed as a 4th Hour Anchor on your site... and she's been there for nearly 6 months now... Anyhow--I'd appreciate it if this kudo got directed to the 4th hour producers. Yay Kathy Lee.

I LOVE KLG AND HODA! THE SHOW IS FUNNY AND INTERESTING. IT'S LIKE SITTING AND TALKING WITH FRIENDS. THE SHOW HAS LOTS OF CLASS. I LIKE THE FACT THAT THERE ISN'T FIGHTING AND BICKERING ON THE SHOW.
Hoda and KLG are great!  You ladies are the best, so charming, talented and beautiful.  You are talking about age now and then, KLG forget it think like Gene Simmons...there is no such thing as old you are either alive or dead!  You look great and congratulations!
I also Love Kathy Lee and Hoda..(it is really my favorite part of the Today show!) I think they are hilarious together, and act like sisters. They each have such different personalities and viewpoints, and I think they each come across as authentic, real, and charming!
Me and my Wife love your show. And to Hoda...we use to watch you in ILLinois  in the Quad Cities on Channel 8 WQAD.  Remember Jim King and gang? Keep up the good work Hoda.
Dear Kathylee and Hoda I am a laidoff fire sprinkler fitter in Wa. I never thought I would get hooked on any daytime TV show. But you two just kill me. I can't wait till ten O'clock. You two are great. Keep me entertained thru these time's. Bill
Hoda and KLG you are very entertaining. Just one small idea...KLG please stop talking over Hoda. It is frustrating for the viewer.
I just wanted klg and hoda to know that they are great. I love to see their show every morning. You girls are so funny and keep my spirits going when i see your show. Keep up the great work. I love you girls. ps. Kathy and hoda you look great
kathy and hoda, I think your awsome. Keep making people laugh. I love you girls. You really make my day, I don't care what others think your #1 in my book for talk show. Only you girls make it fun.
Way to go Kathy you were the only one dancing with shoes on!
Hoda has never looked better, that leopard print dress was made for her! Thanks KLG for setting great example in this economy of friendship and recycling!
You and Frank were remembering the days passed when you were married young and he was an older gentleman. I too was young of 28 and my husband was 47. We were married 40 wonderful years and I lost the love of my life 11 months ago. He was a kidder too and I miss that SO much. CHARISH every day...I so enjoy your show. You bring my smile back.
I just love to watch what is going to happen on the 10am today show,
KLG & Hoda give me a reason to laugh in this tough time.  Evey time you turn on other shows there is something more, about this sad economy.
You girls keep up the good work making people laugh and forget the bad times in this country.
THANKS,Kris in Idaho
To Hoda:Some of my musician friends recently told me that your interested in playing the guitar.Whats great about learning a musical instrument is ! that age is not a factor. Learn it for the plesure and creativity.            Good Luck.
I love the sayings.  If I had to give one it would be ,  " If you judge people, you have no time to love them."  said by MOTHER THRESA THE PATRON OF SAINTS. It is true we are to busy asuming things about people  instead of seeing them for who they really are, "HUMAN"
Congrats ! on your Anniversary...sure has been a quick year... but KLG you've had this Southern Gentleman's Heart for Many Years.  Keep up the Awesome job you do..!

Just watched your show today about the Nothing But Nets! Out Church talked about Nothing But Nets and my grand daughter wanted to do something to raise money for the children in Africa.  She had a bake sale at our church and made $650 for Nothing But Nets!  If this 12 year old can do that much, think if each of us gave just $10 what a difference we could make!
My nephew was being very mis behaved, he took off his seat belt on the highway , my sister in law pulled over , he would not put it back on, she then drove directly to the local police station, marched him in ( he was 6) and explaned to the officer at the desk the situation, he took the boy into a room and explained how inportant it was fo him to listhen to his mom and the rules. it sacred hin STRAIGH! He always wears his set belt now
