Tiger pups take Manhattan

It’s not often you spend your mornings cuddling with real live tiger cubs, but today I was lucky enough to get a close up look at the cubs who were rejected by their mother  and nursed by Isabella, the now-famous golden retriever. Owner Tom Harvey, who actually checked into the upscale Essex Hotel on Central Park South with his “wild” entourage, was kind enough to give me the opportunity to pet the gorgeous animals — but smart enough not to let me leave the set with them.

From the 25 minutes I spent with the trio, it seemed that they were, firstly, exhausted from entertaining Matt and Meredith, but also a little different in terms of personality — an observation verified by Tom Harvey. One seemed carefree and cool that every TODAY staff member and security guard was reaching for her, another preferred to hang out in the back trying to escape into Rockefeller Center, and the third walked in circles, meowing to herself.

(Oh, and it was the third cub who peed on me — but hey, small sacrifice for a chance to meet TODAY’s latest animal stars.)

Oh my god they are so cute I just want to hug them!!!!
Dear Matt Lauer and Meredith:
I watch your segment this morning on the dog that adopted the tiger cubs. I am here to tell you that I went to school with Tommy Harvey and he is a real cool guy. Even when he was a kid growing up he always had a special place in his heart for animals. I don't know if he told you this or and if he didn't don't let him know that I told you but when he a little boy he even had a spider monkey for a pet. But I do know one thing he is one of a kind if you know where I am coming from. If you ever get a chance to have him on again don't hesatate in doing so. I know you won't regret it.

Sincerely Yours:

Connie Pouncil
How lucky you all were to meet the "tiger pups"!  They are so cute!  Isabella has obviously been a wonderful adoptive mom to them. That's interesting that the girls have three different personalities.  Sorry to hear that you got peed on, but all in, I'd gladly switch places with you.
I believe in miracles too!  Thank you for sharing such a wonderful and delightful story!  It made me smile, laugh and thank God, for saving these beautiful tigers and your zoo!

Good Luck and may God Bless You!
Rina!  How lucky are you to have the opportunity to get up close and personal with these beauties!  Thanks for the video, photographs, and for airing this story.  Truly inspiring!
they are so pretty and adorable
Awesome!! God truly did perform a miracle here....wonderful animals saved by wonderful people. Makes for a happy news story!! Keep up the good work!!
We need to see more of these types of stories. The need is genuine and the people and animals involved are heros. The news each day is sad and fearful, it's good to see a report of more then 30 seconds that lifts the spirit and encourages us.
they are so adorable animals

How beautiful God's creatures are. How blessed we are to see these baby tigers. Future generations may not get to. My prayers are for the people that help them to live the life the were intended to. I hope only the best in life will come their way.
It truly is remarkable!  Just imagine being able to be so close to such wild animals to enjoy their true beauty.  This is something I look forward to be able to do someday for as stated in Isaiah 11 verses 6-9, animals and mankind will actually be able to live together without one causing harm to the other.  I wouldn't recommended anyone trying to get to close to a wild animal now, unless they are very knowledgeable about the animal.  Even though an animal may be in captivity it is still very dangerous.  That is why they are referred to as "wild" animals.
