Hair’s to you, Hoda

During TODAY’s chat, Hoda mentioned her mother’s mild criticism of her cute and curly look from this past Friday’s show. Although we think it's adorable, Hoda swore off the carefree hairstyle in favor of her usual coiffed do.

What do you think? Should Hoda let loose and embrace her curls or should she continue blowing us away with her sleek, straight look?

Hoda looks beautiful always. Her curly hair looks more fun and casual. "Straight" hair looks more news ancor-like and journalistic.

Hoda looks gorgeous no matter what! I am a big fan of her's and she is a major reason why I watch the Today Show. She is a wonderful reporter and a great host. Always treats everyone with great respect and is so very smart.. like i said she is also VERY GORGEOUS! hehe. Any hairstyle works great for her!

I didn't see the segment but from the web photo, it's adorable. A nice change for the post cancer life style. I think she should embrace it. I think it fits her personality. She is a warm, kind and fashionable woman with style!! And, yes.. it does make her look youthful and radiant! I am a survivor of b.c. also and life does change you. Go for it!!

Re: Your natural look on Friday.   I love your natural look.  I am not sure why the those close to you discourage that look, but we here thing you look FAB!  YOU GO GIRL!  You look 10 years younger and better yet you even look more relaxed.  Why try to change yourself when you are such a dynamo when you are so natural.   Keep the curls girl.   I have been watching you for years and always though you needed an update hair doo until I saw you 'doo' on Friday......it is FAB, don't change back.

Hello Hoda. We love your hair style of Friday. The curls that are obviously natural to your are lovely.  Your frayed hairstyle that is very unnatural that you wear every day is not becoming. The nice thing about curls is that you can go straight or natural. Hoda looks beautiful either way, but I like the curls better. It creates a softer look. Of course, I have stick straight hair and have always coveted those with curls, so maybe I'm a little biased.

I am a fan of the curly look. When I saw the show on Friday, I thought that Hoda looked particularly pretty, but couldn't place exactly why until the discussion on Monday. We naturally curly girls have been subject to the tyranny of straight-haired style requirements for way too long. In fact, I am of the opinion that the inclination to straighten one's naturally curly hair is often based upon an unconscious preference to look less ethnic in an attempt to blend in with or be accepted by the general population.

I just saw this show 2 wks ago for the 1st time. I think that Hoda is a very very attractive woman and thick that the curly hair makes her sexy. She should go with it if she wants. The straight look makes her sexy and makes it seem like she is more layed back rather than serious.

Hoda, I have met you in person at a charity event when you worked at WWL in New Orleans. Remember you as a wonderful genuine person who spent time talking to my daughter who was battling cancer and had no hair. Do not remember you hairstyle. Hoda, as a curly girl myself, I can understand the difficult decision of wearing your hair natural. However, you were given a gift that most women pay good money for. I say show off that beautiful natural curl and when you're in the mood, straighten it.I was once like you and straighten my hair every day. But I save so much time and get more compliments when I let it go natural. Give it a shot! You have the best of both worlds! Embrace it! You are a very gorgeous woman! Remember that life isn't about conformity, but going against the grain! Lots of love!
