Natalie's Favorite Christmas Memories

With Christmas approaching, I asked some of our TODAY personalities for their favorite holiday memories and traditions.

Here's the fourth entry in the series, from Natalie Morales:

Having lived on a lot of Air Force bases growing up, my favorite Christmas memories are from being able to have a sense of family, of being all together. Our tradition was always to stay in our pajamas as long as possible throughout the day.

We'd always follow that up with a big meal, so we'd need some extra room in our pajama pants. And just opening presents, spending time with the family at home.

Very quiet, doing absolutely nothing, and then watching a movie, like watching It's a Wonderful Life for the 100th time.

MERRY CHRISTMAS Natalie, & I hope you have a great New Year too.  I also watch It's a Wonderful Life every Christmas -- and also A Christmas Story -- which always makes me laugh..
After a few weeks of too much December busyness when our children were still at home, Christmas Day was finally a day of family and relaxing.  We stayed in our pajamas as long as possible too (sometimes all day), playing with our children and their new toys or games, eating in the living room (usually not done), and enjoying a day with each other.
Yes, my family loves to do the same on Christmas morning.  There was a toy to entertain kids which made ice cream as they rolled the ball.  I have been trying to find out where to order one.  Please help.
Thanks
I always enjoy hearing that TV personalities lived life much like mine!  It makes you seem like an old friend!  We just had immediate family every Christmas, since extended family was a thousand miles away. It was quiet and cozy and YES! the "pajama day" brought back a rush of memories... did you call all your girlfriends to talk about your presents??!!
Natalie, Our family celebrates Christmas by going to the  Christmas Eve
service and then the day of Christmas, we basically do the same as you and your family.  It is so special to have our two children home during the Christmas time.
I also want you to know that I watch the "Today" show daily and I really enjoy you.  You are a great asset to the "Today" show!  Happy New Year to you and your family!
Natalie:  Thanks for sharing your wonderful Christmas thoughts. It's a Wonderful Life has been a mainstay of my Christmas forever too.  And I used to like to cuddle near the fireplace in our family living room in my PJ's.  I am from a family of 9 - so family is what Christmas is all about to me.  Keep up the terrific work, Natalie.  Happy New Year to you.
WANT TO WISH EVERYBODY AT THE TODAY SHOW A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A WONDERFUL HAPPY NEW YEAR.....
