Kudos to Today Show for choosing Boeing factory to launch the "Where in the world is Matt Lauer?" My husband and I visited the factory in 1997 and were fascinated by the effort and care that go into building a Boeing xx7. One of the last few success stories in manufacturing in the USA. I am guessing the next stop is Japan? Osaka?

The Boeing plant show was very interesting. Especially since I worked in the aviation industry for many years - now forced into new career since the airline industry got pulverized after 911. In a few of those years I helped design the interiors on wide body and narow body aircraft for a major US airline. In todays environment many of the amenities are available as an option and look great but tight bugets do not allow for their selection. When a customer is purchasing their flight they do not choose it because airline X has a B777 with big windows. Its purly driven on price and time availability. So its nice to dream of futuristic aircraft options but don't bet on seeing many of them. Hats off to the Boeing employees!
