It's day one of "Where in the World" and Matt Lauer is in Everett, Washington at the Boeing airplane factory.

In his first video blog of the trip, Matt talks to our travel editor, Peter Greenberg, about a part of the plane that you never get to see and hope your pilot never uses... but you'll both be glad it's there, just in case. WATCH VIDEO

Great start - We loved it. Really a great news piece. The best part is that we don't have to watch Meridith!!!
Matt is heading to Fort Clair. It connects Maine To Canada. At least from the clue that is what I think:) Sincerely, Andrew Chapman www.aic65@aol.com
What is the link to the FAA ATC Matt referred to?

Hey Matt: please send me the site name that shows all the air crafts on the air at any gien time. Thanks. Paul
Next stop will be Fort Anne in Nova Scotia ("...Anne holding it down..."). The region contains the Clare Municipality and it is French speaking ("Clare speaks the language...")
Matt, I am guessing that you'll be tipping back a Guiness in Ireland tomorrow!
As a Safety and Loss Prevention Director for one of the largest construction companies in the U.S. it was great to see Matt in his fall protection harness on the lift today. Good for Boeing making sure he was safe and way to go Matt for following protocol!!
My second grade class at Avaxat Elementary School in Murrieta, California would like to tell you we thought your first day was awesome! My students could not believe that Disneyland could fit inside the Boeing building. That was the most exciting fact we learned today. We can't wait to see where you will be going tomorrow.
Hello Mr.Matt, We love the Today Show. The Boeing Assembly edition was very interesting. From, Pace Center for Girls
I was a little disappointed this morning to find Matt in Washington State inside the Boeing plant. Not that it wasn't very interesting and somehwere most people will never see, I just look forward to exotic natural habitats that are truly amazing. Hoping for more the rest of the week
I think Matt will be at the Aran Islands of Clare, Ireland, "where Irish is still the spoken language"
Hi Mat, I watch your show every morning and love it. Please sent me the site that lists all the aircraft in the air at any given time. Thanks
Matt will be going to Japan
My guess is you are off to Anchorage Alaska GREAT show on the 777 and 787 - especially for us travellers.
It's either Clare, IA (just kidding) or Fort Clare, Killaloe, IRE. Home of Brian Boru's fort. I always wanted to go to Ireland, now I hope you're going to show it to me tomorrow. Cha d’dhùin doras nach d’fhosgail doras. (No door ever closed, but another opened.)
Day 3: My guess is Bhutan in South Asia.
I would love and hope Matt is going to Iraq. It would be a treat for our troops and a reminder to us that our troops are still over there.
